Antoine Lake near Iron Mountain is a 745 acre lake stocked with Bass, Northern, Pan fish, and Walleye. Lake Antoine County Park is open to the Public. PARKING IS FREE within the park. Dawson Lake and Dawson Lake Park is just South of R Cabins off of I-69. This hidden local gem has a groomed beach at a lake great for swimming, which also features a walking path which follows along the lakeside.  (15 mins/11.4 miles from R Cabins)

Edey Lake is just North of R Cabins on M95. This 79 acre lake, with a max depth of 30 feet, is stocked with Bass, Northern, Pan fish, and Walleye. (6 mins/3.9 miles from R Cabins)

Fumee Lake Natural Area near Iron Mountain/Norway is a 1,800 acre non-motorized recreation area with a Fumee Lake and Little Fumee Lake dedicated to the conservation of unique marine life. North of R Cabins on M95, just as you enter the township of Republic, there is a section of the Michigamme River that is actually a small lake. Complete with a groomed beach, dock, raft, pavilion, playground, basketball and volleyball courts.  Going North from R Cabins, watch for a large billboard on the right which prominently featuring the name "Republic".
