Motor trails for off-roading & Snowmobiling

Chippewa Trail (Chippewa Sno-Kats Trailhead)

Maintained and groomed by  The Chippewa Sno-Kats Trail Club, their Chippewa Sno-Kats Trailhead is located at 9 Superior Avenue in Crystal Falls. Parking available for your vehicles and trailers, with access to Chippewa Sno-Kats trails and others extending across the entire Upper Peninsula. (19 mins/18.1 miles from R Cabins to trailhead.)

Felch Grade Trail

Felch Grade Trail is 38 miles with end points in Narenta and Felch. This is a rough trail  that parallels State Route 69. Parking available behind Felch Township Community Center on State Route 69. (24 mins/23.2 miles from R Cabins to parking area.)

Iron Range Trails (Crystal Falls to Iron River Trail)

This section of the Iron Range Trail system is 25 miles with end points in Crystal Falls and Iron River. Primarily used by snowmobiles and ATVs, the trail follows an old railroad route through scenic Michigan wilderness. Parking and trial access available in various locations including Eastern Crystal Falls around US 69/Superior Ave and Round House Rd. 


Continuing West from Iron River, this trail connects to the State Line Trail and to Stager Trail when proceeding East past Crystal Falls. (19 mins/18.1 miles from R Cabins to Crystal Falls parking area.)

Beaver Pete's Trail

Beaver Pete's Trail is 20 miles with end points at Dickinson/Menominee county line and Iron Mountain. This is a very popular trail for snowmobiling with a scenic route through Michigan's wilderness is part of the Dickinson County trail System. This 40 mile system is maintained by the Tri-County Snowmobile and ORV Club. Parking and trail access available in various locations in Norway and Iron Mountain. (42 mins/40 miles from R Cabins to Norway parking area.)

Blue Ox Trail System

Discover the Blue Ox Trail System roughly 140 miles of trails in Wisconsin's Florence County, maintained by The Florence County Snowmobile Club, (Blue Ox Trail Riders).  (35 mins/32.9 miles from R Cabins to Florence, WI.)
